All proceeds benefit Volunteers in Medicine of Southern Nevada
Volunteers in Medicine of Southern Nevada will host our first annual Fight for Health 5k Fun Run and 1k Fun Walk on Saturday, May 11, 2013.
The event will begin at the Las Vegas Shakespeare Company, routing through Downtown Las Vegas to the downtown flagship clinic's future site!
Join us for this fun-filled event and walk or run as your favorite super hero! All registrants will receive a complimentary t-shirt.
The first 200 people will also receive their very own super hero cape! Whether you have a favorite character or something unique in mind, prizes will be given for the best costume, best team comic representation, most creative costume and best kids costume for children 13 years and younger. Event details are as follows:

Start Location: Las Vegas Shakespeare Company (Formerly Reed Whipple Cultural Center) 821 Las Vegas Blvd N Las Vegas, NV 89101 (cross from the Neon Museum)

Event Day Registration: Individual - $35.00; Kids (13 and under) - $20.00
Proceeds from the charity run and walk will go towards the organization’s current clinic operations and to the Florence Nightingale Fund. This money will help VMSN serve its patients and build a clinic in Downtown Las Vegas, where the need for health care services to the uninsured is great.

Community Service Award
Eric M. Hilton is the youngest son of Conrad N. Hilton and former vice chairman of Hilton Hotels Corporation. Mr. Hilton has served his community in a variety of ways, now serving on the boards of the Little League Foundation and Three Square, a nonprofit organization that collects and distributes food in Southern Nevada. He is chairman of the board of the BEST Foundation for a Drug-Free Tomorrow and serves on the seven-member international jury that selects the recipient of the annual $1.5 million Conrad N. Hilton Humanitarian Prize.
In addition, he serves on the advisory board of the Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management at the University of Houston. He previously served on the board of Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda. He received the American Vocational Association Award of Merit and has been honored with the Alumni President's Award and an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree from the University of Houston, where he has also been inducted into the Hospitality Industry Hall of Honor.
